30 Hour Famine

On May 9th and 10th, Mt Doug students are invited to participate in the 30 hour famine to fight the injustice of global child hunger. We will fast for 30 hours to raise funds for food security projects all around the world, including Canada. There will be a celebration dinner after the fast and a prize for the student who raises the most money. If you're interested in participating, please attend the information meeting next Thursday, April 25th at lunch in the multi-purpose room.

For Generations to Come Scholarship

If you are a grade 11 student who is active in leadership within more than one school or community organization, are caring and compassionate of others and put forth a consistent attitude and effort towards achievement then you should apply for the $500 "For Generations to Come" scholarship. Only Grade 11 students are eligible to apply. Come to Room 221 at the beginning of lunch for more information.

The 2019 Grad Valedictorian Speeches and election is today, right now during FLEX block. All GRADE 12 teachers are asked to accompany their grade 12 students to the gym immediately following these announcements. This is an extremely important assembly so all grade 12's please go directly to the gym at the end of these announcements.
